A-SFUG July 2010 Meeting

Hi people,

For the coming meeting, Ed will talk about flash optimisation and Danny will discuss full screen/browser flash with us.

Loading a huge flash file is not much a problem for us who stay in Singapore. However, if you are preparing materials for countries which are less fortunate with bandwidth, optimisation is a must. Besides that, optimisation skills are very handy for producing banners. After all, won’t you feel proud that your files are well optimised?

What is the difference between full screen flash and full browser flash? How to program and how to prepare graphics for full screen/browser flash? What kind of design is good to build full screen/browser? Come and join the discussion with Danny.

Time: 11AM-1PM 24th July
Venue: The Ogilvy Centre, 35 Robinson Road #03-01
Topics: Flash Optimisation, Full Screen/Browser Flash

RSVP via Facebook

HTML and CSS in Flash

The slides for my talk on HTML and CSS in Flash have now been uploaded to my website http://nichmekof.com/a-sfug/cssinflash/

I updated the slides slightly because I missed out talking about the ability to use CSS classes.

I have also done up an example file which you can download on how to use html and css in flash

Sound & Sound Spectrum Presentation slides

I think the most important information is the links.

I’ve also uploaded the flash source files I demonstrated during the presentation. Put a mp3 file inside the folder and name it as “jingle.mp3″  to make it work properly. (I can’t upload mine because of copy right issues).
